lees de tekst in het nederlands.Listen with your Eyes is made by me as a tribute to the bright colored fabrics which I like to use so much. The appearance of the colors and the transition of colors are for me reason enough to enjoy my fabrics.
The idea for this design was born when I was in sitting in my church and I was dreaming away in my thoughts. Suddenly the sun came through a stained glass window and the colors exploded like a prism. As base for this quilt I have used the checkered board border from Circle of Life. I already noticed with the Rainbow Star pattern that a black and white border accentuates the bright colors. So I felt the need to try to combine this in the checkered board border.
The name “Listen with your Eyes” is not chosen accidentally, because this name really indicates where this quilt stands for.
When you are able to see the real quilt, or maybe when you look at the picture, and you see the bright colors…..listen, listen to the whisper of the colors and hear them talk of happiness, pleasure and joy!
